Joseph Horn and Frank Hardart started their first restaurant in 1888 and introduced the East Coast to New Orleans style coffee. Their commitment to quality and value established Horn & Hardart Automats as an American classic.

President and Sustainability Director
Dawn has been active in the corporate world for twenty years, in both sales and management. During this time, she has been at the forefront in bringing sustainable business practices to multiple industries. Dawn is past Chairperson of the Alliance for a Sustainable Future, and currently she is involved with the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s START program for sustainability.
Chief Coffee Taster
Over the past thirty-five years, Al has been either a partner or founder of a dozen companies. From computer manufacturing to wine importing, his love of making things work better keeps him looking for the next challenge. Horn & Hardart Brands gives him the opportunity to combine this love with his passion for coffee. And, although he has been studying, drinking and experimenting with coffee for over twenty years, Al realizes there is still much more to learn.
VP of Sales
Bill began his business career as an auditor with one of the Big-Eight accounting firms. Among his major clients was one of the largest food companies in the world, giving him an opportunity to gain an in depth understanding of the industry. After moving into sales, Bill eventually became the national sales manager for several major corporations, and then as an independent consultant helped grow several start-ups into national brands.
VP of Digital Strategies
and Community Outreach
Nathan is an entrepreneur, business consultant, accomplished musician, and coffee enthusiast. He has an Information Systems and Technology degree from Drexel and is currently pursuing an MBA at Temple University. In addition to his work as a partner at H&H Brands, Nathan works with organizations dedicated to innovation in music, the arts, and community involvement. He currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two young sons.
David Mazzone, Esq.
David is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, Maryland and the District of Columbia. After graduation, he was an associate attorney at a boutique law firm in the D.C. metropolitan area. Since returning to his native Pennsylvania, he has become Corporate Counsel to Horn & Hardart Brands and also practices business law in Philadelphia. David lives with his wife and young son in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Daniel Mazzone, Esq.
VP of Marketing
Daniel is a graduate of New York University’s School of Law. After graduation, he practiced Corporate & Securities law at a major New York firm. In the past year, Daniel has changed his focus and is now involved in several businesses, including his work with Horn & Hardart Brands; a web design practice; and, his custom furniture design company TinGully .
